Sovereign Health of Arizona
Providing a secure safety net for the women of Arizona
The state of Arizona is home to beautiful landscapes, thriving artistic communities and a rich history of western culture. Unfortunately, many lives in the Grand Canyon State are plagued by some sort of mental illness or addiction. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), about 221,000 adults live with serious mental illness, and close to 73,000 children live with comparable conditions as well. In addition, the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) found that almost 9 percent of Arizona residents reported using illicit drugs in the past month compared to the national average of approximately 8 percent.
Due to these prevailing problems, a significant amount of deaths can be traced back to a debilitating condition. Unfortunately, most of these deaths could also be prevented if more adequate resources were available. Overall, many lives are intentionally ended early due to suicide, others are incarcerated due to serious drug-related offenses and not enough money is allocated for needed services. Furthermore, a particularly underserved demographic of the state is the female population. In addition to instances of mental disorder and addiction, many women experience trauma due to sexual abuse and violence.
Modern treatment providers such as Sovereign Health of Arizona have taken matters into their own hands in order to provide comprehensive care for at-risk women. If you are a woman in need of quality psychological support or know someone who is, it is imperative to take a stand against the affliction and reach out to Sovereign Health’s Chandler facility and review your options for recovery.
