Sovereign Health of California
Recover and rest in the west
Even amid the sun and surf of the California coast, cases of mental disorders and addiction are still pressing problems for various citizens within the state. According to the California Healthcare Foundation, approximately 1 in 6 Californians aged 18 or older has a mental health need and approximately one in 20 suffers from a serious mental illness that makes daily life activities more difficult. In comparison, the results of the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) show that approximately 9 percent of California residents reported the use of illicit drugs in the past month compared to the national average of 8 percent. In addition to this, a majority of adolescents abuse prescription medications in addition to illegal substances.
With such a turbulent landscape of psychological ailments, many residents of the Golden State must be prepared for some sort of disorder in their life, whether it is experienced first-hand or by a loved one. Regardless of the situation, any condition that impacts cognition, emotion or behavior is a serious threat to one’s overall well-being. Do not hesitate to reach out for help when burdens or vices are too much to handle anymore.
All Californians deserve to live a healthy lifestyle. For those struggling with instability, resources are available throughout the state that can provide a solid pillar of support. Sovereign Health of California aims to be an empowering lighthouse at the end of the shore, guiding those lost by their respective afflictions back to firm and stable ground. The Sovereign Health Group is a behavioral health treatment center for mental health disorders, eating disorders, addiction and co-occurring conditions.
