Alumni and Friends Events
Even after one’s initial treatment for a mental disorder, substance abuse or both, a recovering individual still needs to stay connected to the resourceful people and practices that made recovery possible to begin with. Consequently, when the same person leaves professional-level care, he or she will depart with a new network of former patients also coping with their own respective conditions. It is important for clients not to forget about the individuals that helped them along the way.
The Sovereign Health Group is committed to building a community of successful alumni. Those who have managed to turn their lives around for the better are now equipped to help others do the same. Also, the journey of recovery does not end once clients leave Sovereign. Life outside of Sovereign’s care is a continual process of self-management, with the new tools and skills patients will need to build endurance against triggers. Sometimes this ongoing task gets tough, especially when dealing with this burden alone.
No one understands experience with recovery more than other alumni. That’s why it is important to stay connected even after successfully completing a program. Sovereign Health makes sure to offer its support to alumni and keep them involved along with their friends and family by providing new information on events where they can find resources that could help them post recovery.
