Insurance

White River Academy tuition covers ongoing program costs such as: educational curriculum, therapy and accommodation. Most normal insurance is applicable to treatment. Experiential therapies such as rock climbing, canoeing and equine therapy are also included in tuition.

Private pay is also an option if families do not have insurance. Financial assistance is available, based upon the financial situation and need of the parents. Please call White River Academy’s 24/7 helpline to inquire.

Levels of Care

Within our campus, we offer four different levels of treatment for the young men. Each level provides an increased degree of cognitive therapy and autonomy while down-shifting the intensity of treatment. Here at White River Academy there is no rush to rehabilitate.

With clinical therapies, the invigoration of time spent outdoors in nature and a positive peer culture, the teenage boys will graduate through levels of care during a typical 12-24 month stay without the anvil of adult pressure. Students may phase down through several levels of care over the span of their treatment.

Residential (RTC)

Residential treatment programs are a received well because they offer the most comfortable transition for each teenaged boy’s particular treatment needs.

White River Academy’s nonhospital-based interdisciplinary services are provided 24/7 on campus. The familial group setting fosters brotherly bonds the boys can build upon to grow out of troubled behaviors, together.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

White River Academy’s partial hospitalization program is supervised and provides intensively therapeutic, full-spectrum, clinical services that are coordinated with the local hospital.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

White River Academy’s IOP entails a series of therapy and/or other group sessions individualized for the young man. IOP is another step-down from partial hospitalization, detoxification or residential services.

General Outpatient (GOP)

This last phase of care allows the patient therapy sessions on campus. We have a very mindful downshifting as young men approach graduation from the program. GOP is a healthy transition into our aftercare program and discharge planning, which continue to survey the graduates’ state of mind and progress post discharge, offer brain wellness tools and monitor family relations.
