About our Chandler facility

Located in the city of Chandler in Maricopa County, Arizona, Sovereign Health of Chandler’s treatment facility is nestled in a quiet suburb of the Phoenix Metropolitan Statistical Area. The facility is only 13 miles away from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and 32 miles from the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

Our Chandler facility has 10 residences that house female patients who are in the residential treatment and intensive outpatient programs. All sober living apartments that house women in the intensive outpatient program are beautifully landscaped and located in gated communities with a fitness center and pool. Women in the residential treatment program stay in houses located in private cul-de-sacs with landscaped outdoor areas and backyards as well as a number of other amenities such as a washer and dryer for laundry to help women feel as comfortable during their stay as possible.

All women who stay in our residential and sober living residences enjoy outings to the gym, yoga classes, meditation and grassy areas around the facility to walk in addition to their normal treatment. Menus are also created by a nutritionist and reasonable food requests can be made for women who have particular dietary needs.

Treatment programs

Sovereign Health of Chandler’s facility provides specialized, evidence-based treatment services specific to women to help address mental health, substance abuse and other issues that accompany trauma and abuse.

All female patients who receive treatment at Sovereign Health of Chandler drug rehab will begin their stay in the newest phase of the program — the Serenity House. During their stay at the Serenity House, women receive comprehensive diagnostic assessments while they prepare for treatment in a relaxing and confidential environment. These assessments help our clinical team to determine the treatment program that will be the most suitable to meet each woman’s specific needs. During this initial phase of the program, women learn self-calming techniques to help them throughout their stay in treatment.

Sovereign Health’s Arizona treatment centers offer treatment programs to women who have:

  • Mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression
  • Substance use disorders
  • Co-occurring disorders

Specialized treatments at our drug rehabilitation are also provided to patients who have experienced trauma and abuse, including music and art therapy, neurofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy provided by trauma-trained therapists.
