Sovereign Health of Chandler’s facility provides specialized, evidence-based treatment services specific to women to help address mental health, substance abuse and other issues that accompany trauma and abuse.
All female patients who receive treatment at Sovereign Health of Chandler drug rehab will begin their stay in the newest phase of the program — the Serenity House. During their stay at the Serenity House, women receive comprehensive diagnostic assessments while they prepare for treatment in a relaxing and confidential environment. These assessments help our clinical team to determine the treatment program that will be the most suitable to meet each woman’s specific needs. During this initial phase of the program, women learn self-calming techniques to help them throughout their stay in treatment. Sovereign Health’s Arizona treatment centers offer treatment programs to women who have:
- Mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression
- Substance use disorders
- Co-occurring disorders
Specialized treatments at our drug rehabilitation are also provided to patients who have experienced trauma and abuse, including music and art therapy, neurofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy provided by trauma-trained therapists.
Helping women rebuild self-esteem and self-reliance is integral to recovery from domestic violence and substance abuse. To that end, our style of treatment, which we call Rebuilding Our Acceptance and Resilience (ROAR), utilizes dialectical behavior therapy-informed care and trauma-informed care to teach new coping skills. Using these practical skills, patients learn how to regain control of their lives without the need of alcohol or drugs or without engaging in self-harming behavior.
