Sovereign Health of Rancho San Diego provides treatment for adolescent patients needing a safe space to recover and rehabilitate from substance use disorders, mental health disturbances and co-occurring conditions.
Our team of clinicians tailors treatment programs to each patient to ensure teens are best set up for long-term success, in a recovery that lasts.
Sovereign’s adolescent mental health program targets mental disorders including, but not limited to:
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Panic disorder
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Eating disorders
A comprehensive diagnosis precedes admission. One of the biggest challenges of teen mental health treatment is correctly diagnosing patients’ unique set of symptoms to identify their individual needs. Symptoms are often mistaken as normal puberty mood and cognition changes.
That’s why our expert staff completes a three-step assessment and designs a program tailored specifically to each young person’s needs.
We use a broad range of modalities, including dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy in individual, group and family settings.
Aside from the clinical environment, alternative therapies such as art, yoga, equine therapy and music therapy through the Rock to Recovery program give additional therapeutic outlets via self-expression.
